Fundamental Techniques: Locomotive, non-locomotive, manipulative Tactics Problems to Solve Offence: Score points Defense: Prevent the other players from scoring Equipment: Hoops, noodles, foam balls Description of Play: · Every student has a noodle inside a hoop that they must protect; they must stand outside the hoop · Students must hit the noodle of an opponent by throwing a ball at it · Students are allowed leave their noodle and go get a ball or attack, but must make sure their noodle is still up before attacking · Students are allowed to move with the ball in their hands Layer 1: · If your noodle gets knocked down, you pick it off, take your hoop and set up in a different area of the playing space Layer 2: · If your noodle gets knocked down, you pick it off, take your hoop and set up beside someone (usually the student that knocked down your noodle) and you become a team · If your noodle gets knocked down while you are in a team you leave your team and go partner up again Layer 3: · If your noodle gets knocked down, you leave it on the ground, take your hoop and join the student that knocked your noodle down · You can now use the wall as rebound to hit the noodle Modifications: · Use your feet to strike the ball Safety: · Make sure students are throwing the ball to hit the noodle and not to harm other students |
